Day 254
Legacy Trail
After a relaxing start and route planning with the help of Pam we hit the road. We had a few miles back on Route 41 then we reached our first proper cycle trail - the Venetian Waterway Trail, which linked us to the Legacy Trail at the Venice Train Depot. The Legacy Trail was awesome.
First, we rode by the water, cyclists all around. We helped refit a chain on a bike for Marty and Linda (think I remembered the names correctly). Next, we popped into a fantastic bike shop, Real Bikes. The staff were fantastic, it was so busy but they took time to chat and were all so helpful. Tom bought a new saddle - as Brooks thought, Tom is just too darn tough on his saddle. We also picked up some new kit, totally essential honest! It was hard not to as the shop was full of fantastic stuff! Thanks to Dan, originally from Swindon UK, and all the staff for their great service.
A few miles later we checked into a hotel for a couple of nights. We aim to catch up on the blog, plan the next week or so and phone home to our mums!
