Day 87
Tom and Fiona’s Grand Tour
Our hosts WS Tom and Fiona kindly turned themselves into tour guides for their area, and spent the day taking us around their area in a car! Wow, these machines are so much fun, you don’t have to pedal, and they go really fast! We were on the Copper Coast, lined with the remains of the industrial past, fabulous beaches, remains of churches, Henry VIII and Cromwell did their bit at destroying them. Fortunately they had left the dolmen alone, a place of burial and worship that has stood since 3000BC. Yep that’s older than the Pyramids. Tom’s photos will show this better than any words of mine. Talking of mines, we even found a chimney that we could crawl through, almost as much fun as a tunnel!
We spent the evening eating another of David’s meals, all I can say is he is going to be very popular at college! Then we did what friends and families do, played board games, chatted, ate too much cheese and drank a glass or three of wine. It felt a bit like Christmas!
So, did I get on with WS Tom? Well yes, though next time we play Settlers he better watch out, remember WS Tom, I hold a grudge!
