Day 71
The Craic
We packed up wearing our midge head nets as the wee beasties were out in force. Fortunately a breeze blew them away and we were able to eat our breakfast overlooking the beach. A friendly local dog came and sat with us, clearly just content to have our company.
Our route today took us along a fairly busy coastal route. We perhaps should have opted for the loughs or mountain route but decision made, we pressed on to our campsite at Salthill, a couple of miles out of Galway. We have booked in here for four nights to have a proper rest and catch up on the blog etc.
But first, a night out in Galway was calling us! A fabulous meal followed by a brilliant time listening totraditional Irish music whilst chatting to Joe, a native of Galway and drinking Guinness of course!
