Day 78
Shannon ferry
We retraced our bike ride out of Doolin up towards the road that took us to the Cliffs of Moher. Unfortunately, when we reached the 15% gradient, we had to stay on or should I say up it! Tom cleaned every inch of it, I almost did, we’re getting fitter!
We had another Komoot orange warning hill, this time we both rode it all. Then the route became more undulating. Today we were heading to get the ferry to Tarbert. We took a fairly direct route, very quiet roads but little to delay or entertain us such as dramatic views or ruined castles, shipwrecks etc!
The ferry went on the hour and we made it with one minute to spare! We carried on through Tarbert and after a few miles found our wild camp spot for the night. The quiet drone of wind turbines and the scent of brambles lulled us to sleep!
